Room 8 — Read All About It
Third Floor | Double | En-Suite | Sea View
Stop the presses — this one’s a headline act.
High above the Weymouth Esplanade, where the sea air is freshest and the views are nothing short of front page news, Room 8 at The Ocean Guesthouse is a room with a story to tell. Bright, airy, and bursting with character, Read All About It is a celebration of the printed word, the passing of decades, and the irresistible charm of a great story well told.
At the heart of this exceptional room lies its showstopping centrepiece — a dramatic newspaper feature wall that takes you on a captivating journey through the decades. Headlines from bygone eras paper the walls in glorious black and white, each one a snapshot of history, a conversation starter, and a reminder that the world’s greatest stories are always worth revisiting. It’s bold, it’s playful, and it’s guaranteed to have you reading long after you should have gone to sleep.
Yet for all its fun and personality, Read All About It never sacrifices comfort for character. Well presented and thoughtfully appointed throughout, this top floor retreat pairs its distinctive styling with everything a modern guest could wish for — a bright and welcoming atmosphere, a private en-suite, and those spectacular sea views that remind you exactly where you are. Weymouth Bay spreads out magnificently before you, delivering its own daily edition of blues, silvers, and sunlit gold with every passing hour.
Whether you’re tucking up with a good book, reminiscing over the headlines of your lifetime, or simply soaking up the views with a cup of tea in hand, Room 8 delivers an experience that is warm, witty, and wonderfully memorable.
