Room 3 — The Captain’s Quarters
First Floor | Double | En-Suite | Harbour View
Welcome aboard.
Step through the door of Room 3 and into a world of seafaring grandeur, where the timeless romance of the open ocean meets the comfort and character of a captain’s private retreat. Inspired by the distinguished quarters of a tall ship’s commander, this superior room is a sanctuary of nautical elegance — rich in atmosphere, bold in character, and perfectly positioned to keep the harbour always within sight.
Settle into the generous double bed and let the distinctive décor transport you — deep maritime tones, weathered charm, and carefully crafted details that pay tribute to the great seafarers who once navigated these very Dorset waters. Whether it’s the creak of the harbour’s vessels drifting on the tide or the gentle shimmer of light on the water, Room 3 connects you to Weymouth’s proud maritime heritage in the most immersive way possible. With views over the working harbour and a design inspired by Weymouth’s maritime heritage, Captain’s Quarters is one of the most distinctive rooms at The Ocean. Perfect for guests looking for Weymouth harbour view rooms or a Weymouth seafront guesthouse with genuine character, this room blends nautical style with comfort and location. Stay here and you’re just moments from the beach, the Esplanade and the town’s restaurants, making it an ideal choice for travellers searching for the best places to stay Weymouth with both scenery and personality.
Your private en-suite ensures every comfort is close at hand, while the sweeping harbour views from the first floor provide a living canvas that changes with the tide, the light, and the season. This is a room that commands attention — much like the captains who inspired it.
